The trailer for Parineeti Chopra and Sidharth Malhotra’s quirky comedy ‘Jabariya Jodi’ finally dropped today and the movie’s concept is basically around ‘pakadwa vivah’ (forced wedding).
The trailer starts with how weddings ‘exactly’ happened in the state of Bihar at one point of time, apparently – “Bihar mein teen tarah se jodiyan banti hai, babu. Himmat vaalo ki arranged jodi, kismet vaalo ki love jodi aur dahej ke laalchiyon ki jabariya jodi.”
We get to see Parineeti and Sidharth back on the big screen together after their 2014 movie ‘Hasee Toh Phasee’ and they do look good, but after seeing the trailer, we are wondering what exactly the movie has to offer to in terms of content.
So, basically, the movie is about Abhay Singh, who abducts grooms for weddings, but things change when he is kidnapped by Parineeti Chopra’s character, Babli.
‘Jabariya Jodi’ might be a quirky take on the whole situation which was prevalent in Bihar a few years back, but the trailer is a little messy and after a point, it gets a little too muddled up for ones liking.
yes, there are points of humour in the trailer, but it’s confusing as heck. Well, to put it kindly, it was an attempt to serve biryani but instead, they ended up giving us a messy-looking khichdi.
The film also stars Jaaved Jaaferi, Aparshakti Khurana, Sanjay Mishra, Sheeba Chaddha, Neeraj Sood, Gopal Dutt, Chandan Roy Sanyal, and Ruslaan Mumtaz. Javed is back on the big screen and seeing him is surely a treat.
